Salò is located on a narrow bay of Lake Garda, which is cuts like a fjord in the west coast of the lake.
Surrounded by hills, this elegant and fascinating town is wonderfully nestled and sheltered from winds, so the temperatures are mild throughout the year.
Despite its charms, today Salò is not dominated by tourism and has retained a very authentic and cosy atmosphere.
The old town consists of a dense network of narrow streets and small squares, with many shops and excellent restaurants.
There are many important places to visit in Salò: the Villa Laurin, built in Art Nouveau style, and the bust of Gasparo da Salò, the town father; then the cathedral, on a central square on which there used to be a pagan temple, and the harbor.
The civil ceremonies will take place in the impressive Sala Consigliare (€ 1.990,00 from Monday to Friday) or in the beautiful Sala Provveditori (€ 2.190,00 from Monday to Friday).
